The Shark Matrix comes with a self-emptying station that automatically empties the bag after each clean, eliminating the inconvenience of changing it manually. The Shark Matrix like all Shark robots can be programmed to follow a specific schedule or be activated remotely with voice commands. It feels solidly built, is able to maneuver itself effortlessly around obstacles, and is able to recharge quickly. It comes with a huge dust bin that can be easily empty.

This Roomba model doesn't come with an upper-mounted camera that can identify objects or look for features that are unique to be aware of as other more expensive counterparts do. When it's docked, a hose inside the Clean Base automatically sucks debris out of the bin and into a custom bag that iRobot calls its Smart Maps. It's a quick, easy way to empty the robot vacuum's bin. You don't have to lift the old bin and let it fly around (which could result in a small dust explosion). But, it does add a tiny bit of an operating cost when you own this top-rated model. You'll need to replace the bag each time it gets full. They're inexpensive, but you may feel bad throwing them to the trash.

You can start cleaning your space right away after pairing the i7+ with its Clean Base, or tell it to do some exploratory runs without vacuuming first to create a floor plan. Once you have a map, you can use the iRobot app to label rooms, set up virtual barriers, schedule cleaning times in specific rooms, and so much more.

The i7+ is a premium robot vacuum, and although it's very efficient and has all the features you'd want in an automation system for your home, it comes at the price of a product that's difficult to justify for most. The Roborock S7 is less expensive than the i7+, is more durable, has lower recurring costs and has a longer running time. It also does a better cleaning job on floors that aren't cleaned. We suggest you look elsewhere unless you are absolutely determined to have a map of your house that is up-to-date.
